Sofia Hamilton

Undergraduate Researcher

Sofia Hamilton is a St. Olaf student majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Statistics and Data Science. She is interested in the intersection of these disciplines through applying data-driven approaches to conservation and using quantitative methods to address environmental challenges. Outside of the classroom, Sofia enjoys illustrating for the student newspaper, volunteering with local elementary students, working as an outdoor recreation trip leader, and collaborating on interdisciplinary research projects.

Eugene Kiepeeh

Undergraduate Researcher

J. Eugene N. Kiepeeh is double majoring in Mathematics and Quantitative Economics with a concentration in Statistics and Data Science at St. Olaf College. His academic interests span computational mathematics, machine learning, and applied statistics research, with a long-term focus on investigating through scientific research how these areas can be apply together to enhance the performance of embedded systems. Outside of his academic pursuits, he is an avid soccer player who competes with the St. Olaf Men's Soccer Club and enjoys reading literature related to ancient history and philosophy..
